Piezo surgery is a gentle procedure for cutting bone without damaging the surrounding soft tissue.The device can be used in a variety of ways in dentistry. It is helpful in extracting teeth with narrow periodontal space, but also in cases of open jaw locks, temporomandibular joint disorders, and jaw resections due to tumors. In jaw surgery, there is less worry about damaging large vessels or nerves during cutting, which reduces the complication rate.

In this course, you can learn the technique by using a piezoelectric surgical device. At the same time, you will learn about temporomandibular joint disorders and oncology in order to operate with a piezoelectric surgical device on various clinical cases in the wet lab. The piezoelectric surgical devices for the wet lab are provided by Mectron.
