Study Director / Head of Laboratory - Investigative Rodent Toxicology-2012096

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • In your new role you lead the laboratory Investigative Rodent Toxicology with technical staff
  • As Study Director, you ensure flexible and timely planning, execution, evaluation and reporting of exploratory and mechanistic toxicological studies (non-GLP) in rodents.
  • You contribute to the development of project specific de-risking strategies and ensure their implementation by project specific designs for exploratory and mechanistic toxicological studies in close collaboration with other Scientists.
  • As Leader of animal experimental projects according to TSchV (project licence holder), you are responsible for the application of respective experimental projects.
  • You represent the NDS Department in interdisciplinary Research & Development project teams.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Veterinary or Human Medicine or PhD in biology with in vivo focus.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience regarding in vivo toxicology (i.e. rodents)
  • Initial experience in leading employees and experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered advantageous
  • Recognition as person carrying out and leading animal experiments by relevant regulatory authorities
  • Agile, open and creative approach to support exploratory and mechanistic questions
  • High level of communication-,team- and organizational skills paired with a good amount of flexibility
