Tasks & responsibilities
  • As a member of the Global Pharmacovigilance (GPV) team, you are responsible for ensuring compliance and executing the activities of the GPV teams.
  • Your focus is the Pharmacovigilance (PV) compliance of EU labeled products sold and distributed by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health (BIAH). Therefor you consider corporate procedures and European (e.g. EMA and BVL) and global government regulations.
  • Thanks to your expertise, you support the preparation of PV documents related to the Risk-Benefit ratio of BIAH products (Periodic Safety Update Reports; PV Statements).
  • You evaluate and approve Adverse Events reports and report them according to PV requirements.
  • Furthermore you support the „Qualified Person Responsible for Pharmacovigilance“ (QPPV) and the local PV Teams in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan to ensure compliance with global and local regulations.
  • You provide regulatory and audit support as needed.
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences (e.g. veterinary medicine, human medicine, PhD in pharmacy, biology); DVM with clinical experience preferred
  • Several years clinical and/or industry experience in a compliance role
  • Exposure and working in a pharmacovigilance role or with regulatory agencies is preferred
  • Effective communication and excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong team player who is collaborative with the mission of Boehringer Ingelheim
