Clinical Research Manager m/ f /d

  • Identify medical needs, molecular targets and new areas of interest for Bayer Animal Health (BAH) with regard to internal diseases such as dermatological diseases in close cooperation with various functions (e. g. legal, strategic marketing, business development and consultants)
  • Identify and prepare decisions for development of new molecular entities (NMEs) and in-licensing opportunities (assets) and formulate comprehensive clinical research plans for each new proposed NME/product
  • Collaborate closely with all involved departments within BAH and Pharma
  • Identify, plan, organize, contract, manage and supervise internal and external resources needed to execute and perform the needed activities / studies
  • Provide scientific advice and prepare documents/ presentations for upper management to gain decisions for development/in-licensing on a worldwide basis
  • Plan, perform and/or monitor activities /studies according to current federal regulations and company policies
  • Attend scientific meetings, continuing education courses and keep abreast of professional publications and newest developments in the animal health industry and veterinary profession

  • Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine or Pharmacology, preferably a background of veterinary internal medicine and dermatology and immunology
  • Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry research or development or academia
  • High willingness to collaborate and to lead scientific teams (functional and/or project team)
  • Effectively organize, prioritize and follow-up on work assignments and maintain accurate records
  • Work independently and as a member of a team and establish effective working relationships
  • Being open-minded and challenging the status quo
  • Good presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
