is available at the Institute of Veterinary Anatomy, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich, Switzerland. The University of Zurich is one of the leading research universities in Europe and offers the widest range of study courses in Switzerland.
Start: 1 August, 2019
The position includes the directorship (operational management) of the Institute.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding veterinarian with PhD and/or Habilitation degree, or equivalent qualifications. Further requirements include a strong track record in:
  • Under- and postgraduate teaching
  • Research, publications and acquisition of competitive funding
  • Supervision of postgraduate students and support of early career researchers
  • Leadership in an academic environment
At the Vetsuisse Faculty, the successful candidate is expected to develop an innovative research program including collaborative projects within and outside the University. The candidate is expected to contribute substantially to the undergraduate teaching in anatomy, histology and embryology, and to supervise early career researchers. As director of the Institute, the candidate will contribute to our vision of leadership characterized by interpersonal skills as well as engagement with strategic initiatives. Fluency in German (as the teaching language) and English is required.
